Homebirth

Visit my website to learn more about homebirth.

If you are booking with me for pregnancy, birth and postnatal care, Medicare will cover a large portion of your care but you would still have an out-of-pocket expense if you are booking with me for birthing services of around $3,400.  Some health funds provide benefits for childbirth education and homebirth (up to $3,000).

  1. Hi Melissa,

My name is Sarah and I am currently 24 weeks pregnant with my first baby, due March 15th 2013.

I have been having my prenatal care at a public Sydney hospital so far with this pregnancy but unfortunately have been very disheartened. The care I have received has not been the supportive, personal, caring journey I have always imagined.

I was wondering if I am too far along in my pregnancy to join your service with the goal of having a homebirth?

What your fees are and if you are covered by medicare?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Sarah
