Advice for pregnancy ... by those who have been there and survived!

It's okay to tell people that you're not interested in their advice.

Remember, every problem has a solution, and confiding in your midwife brings you one step closer to a solution. Don't be afraid to talk to your partner or midwife.

If you trust your midwife, let her do her job and follow her recommendations. If you don’t trust your midwife, find a new midwife who you do trust.

Don't stress about tough times with your partner. A baby tests any couple's relationship.

If you're doing everything in your power to make healthy choices, don't worry so much. Remember the 80/20 rule.

Mothers-in-law don't know everything!

Every little twinge does not mean something is wrong. But if you are concerned, phone your midwife.

No matter what decisions you make, someone will always disagree. Do not take this personally!

There's no such thing as a stupid question, and your midwife would rather answer 10 “silly” questions than miss something important.

Don't stress too much over all the "rules" pregnant women now have. Our mothers had fewer restrictions than we do, and we turned out fine.
